KAMA is a non-profit organization established in partnership with the Knoxville Academy of Medicine to promote local health initiatives and to provide support to physician families.
KAMA provides a forum for support of the physician family from the training years through retirement and strives to further the work of Knoxville area physicians to improve the health of our community through philanthropic and educational endeavors.
Connect with others who understand the unique challenges of physician families; network with alliance members at the local/state/national levels to promote healthy communities and strong medical practices; get involved to develop leadership skills and build friendships. Check out our calendar to stay up-to-date with upcoming events!
From micro-volunteer to leadership, KAMA provides opportunities for volunteers to be involved in community health outreach through both KAMA-sponsored programs and projects that partner with local health-care organizations.
KAMA would like to thank University Radiology and Premier Surgical Associates for their support as KAMA Corporate Sponsors for 2017-2018. KAMA has given me the gift of wonderful friendships with the most creative, giving women I have ever known while being able to serve and learn about the Knoxville community.- Tina
I was initially drawn to KAMA when I heard about its local philanthropy work. Being a nurse myself I found it important to help positively impact the health of our community. What keeps me involved in the group is the active and diverse group of women who support each other, having fun along the way!- Robyn
