Each year, KAMA Philanthropic Fund awards money to local health initiatives and non-profit health organizations in the form of health grants. Qualifying organizations are required to follow an approval process and agree to guidelines for use of funds. 

Grant Request Guidelines

Requests for grants can be made by local health organizations each year by completing our online KAMA Philanthropic Grant Request Form. Requests must meet certain qualifications: funds must be used exclusively for charitable, scientific, safety, and literary or educational purposes; funds must directly impact local healthcare initiatives; and, the organization requesting funds must operate independently as a local non-profit health organization. Grant funds cannot be used to pay salaries, administrative costs or to support fundraisers. Grant requests may be made for up to $5000. Opportunities for grant recipient awards are limited.

KAMA Philanthropic Grant requests are due by February 15.  If the KAMA Philanthropic Board has questions regarding your request, you  may be contacted for clarification. Award/decline letters will be sent to applicants no later than April 30 of the following year.

The KAMA Philanthropic Board requires that:

• All funds be used as indicated in the grant application within one year of issue.
• A follow-up report be submitted to KAMA describing the utilization of grant funds by February 15 of the year after funds are received.
• Any funds not used must be returned to KAMA by February 15 of the following year.
• KAMA be acknowledged as a supporter of organizations receiving donations in any verbal or written material pertaining to the initiative for which the grant is awarded.
